Tried in the Fire

Posted by Dr. Rich on October 1, 2009

These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure.  It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold – and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold.  So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

I Peter 1:7 (New Living Translation)

Our trials, struggles, and persecutions refine and strengthen our faith, making us useful to God.  God has put you in the fire to get the fullness of your worth.  Without the fire, you cannot go higher!

Decree: I’m in the test because I’m going higher!

Prophetic Word: “Stay in the trial,” says the Lord.

The fire is taking you higher.  While you’re in the test don’t get bitter, get better.  The power of God’s anointing brings revelation.  Lack of understanding causes you to stay in the flesh. God sees something inside of you, that’s why you’re in a test. Testing teaches you how to let go of things.

Offense is a blessing blocker.  Offense is a tempting spirit that makes you forget what God’s Word says.  Learn how to forgive people because it’s something you will be doing for the rest of your life.  You actually help yourself the most when you forgive.

Then Peter came to Him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No!” Jesus replied, “seventy times seven!”

Matthew 18:21-22 (New Living Translation)

Forgiving maintains your freedom!

“But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!”
Matthew
 5:44 (New Living Translation)

The enemy recognizes more than we do – how God is taking us to another level.  So love your enemies, and then pray for them.

But she came and worshiped Him, and pleaded again, “Lord, help me!” “It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs,” He said. “Yes Lord,” she replied, “but even dogs are permitted to eat crumbs that fall beneath their masters table.” “Woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.

Matthew 15:25-28 (New Living Translation)

Dog was a term the Jews commonly applied to Gentiles because the Jews considered these pagan people no more likely than dogs to receive God’s blessings.  Jesus was not degrading the woman by using this term.  He was reflecting the Jews attitude so as to contrast it with His own.  The woman did not argue.  Instead, using Jesus’ choice of words, she agreed to be considered a dog as long as she could receive God’s blessing for her daughter.

Don’t let evil get the best of you, but conquer evil by doing good.

Romans 12:21 (New Living Translation)

Your tests put you in the kairos timing of God.  Humble yourself under the hand of God so that He will raise you up.  Fear and reverence are the keys to God’s heart. “Turn off offense,” says the Lord.  Offense is the key element that blocks the blessings of believers.

Maximize Your Full Potential

Posted by Dr. Rich on September 30, 2009

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 (New Living Translation)

You are in the process of God’s master plan. When you are walking in destiny you must put a new perspective on your life. Never stop working towards your goal. You never give up! You cannot be a quitter! Never stop trying until you achieve what you want. You have to be determined – you cannot detour from where you are going. Change is a part of success! Being smart is having wisdom and integrity. In order to keep your success, you must keep God as your source and set aside time in your day for Him. You have to know without a doubt who your source is.

Another key to success is to always finish what you start. You can’t feel it all the time, you just have to do it. Do not warrant what you do on how you feel. Learn how to stand foe what you believe in despite the obstacles. Stand no matter what people think or say.

Learn how to have a standard. Don’t conform – transform! Just because things don’t fall into place doesn’t mean that you should fall out of place. Don’t give up – you can’t afford to. The next level in your life is better and greater. Do not get comfortable in the place where you’re at. Never lose sight of your dreams. Don’t get limited by your dreams. Learn how to rely on God and maximize your full potential!

God’s Grace

Posted by Dr. Rich on September 28, 2009

And from the time John the Baptist began preaching and baptizing until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people attack it.

Matthew 11:12 (New Living Translation)

During the act of praise and worship, you take back things from the enemy that he thought he could keep. God is calling His church to a real war mentality. We have given the enemy too much power in our lives. You’re a soldier and you’re coming back strong.

These signs will accompany those who believe. They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.

Mark 16:17-18 (New Living Translation)

This is the power that we have. You cannot lose your focus during a war. The devil is looking for weary soldiers. You have too much in you to be afraid of the enemy. The discovery of who you were before your trial is equal to laying hands on the sick and they recover. You have the power to demand the devil to recover it back to you with interest. You have got to be in the war with a warlike mentality. We are not just members of a church, but soldiers in the Lord’s army. You rock the devil when you put your gift’s into practice. In order to make room you have to do something that you’ve never done before. Recovery is on the way!

Leadership Training – The Apostolic Move of God

Posted by Dr. Rich on September 28, 2009

One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also designated apostles.

Luke 6:12-13 (New Living Translation)

Before every important event in Jesus’ life, He took time to go off by Himself and pray. Prayer releases the apostolic. But all night prayer releases apostolic power. The more you pray the more you release the apostolic in this region. Prayer is nothing more than communication with God! In your prayer time there should be moments of prayer and moments of quiet – to allow you to hear from God. Prayer sustains the apostolic movement. When you stop praying, the vision of your house (Church) stops moving. Prayer is not about seeing the manifestation, it’s about knowing that the manifestation is coming.

God has you praying because He is moving! You should feel honored when God chooses to awake you in the wee hours of the morning to pray. Out of all the people in the world, He is entrusting you with an assignment. Be sensitive and answer the call from God to pray because He just might give your assignment to someone else. Prayer releases momentum. Prayer also pushes into the heartbeat of God. There are no excuses this season – PRAY!!!!! Despite your situation or circumstance you should be praying without ceasing. Your prayer life should be so strong that people want your anointing.

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God boldly.

Acts 4:31 (New Living Translation)

You should not be praying just in your will, you need the power of the Holy Spirit. You should be shaking things up in the spirit realm with your praying. You should have the desire to pray until you can see breakthroughs. This season you should be striving to elevate your Prayer Life into the next level of your destiny.  Hallelujah!!!

The Party of Warfare

Posted by Dr. Rich on September 28, 2009

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.

John 10:10 (New Living Translation)

“The thief comes” means that he is always trying. “Jesus Came” means that it is already done and we have the victory! Decree Daily: But Jesus came!!! We are operating in an invitation only agenda this season.

For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son so that His Son would be the firstborn, with many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them He called them to come to Him. And He gave them right standing with Himself, and He promised them His glory.

Romans 8:29-30 (New Living Translation)

God has always known you. God’s love is eternal. His wisdom and power are supreme. He will guide and protect you until the day that you stand in His presence. That is why people are to serve and honor God.

Furthermore, because of Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us from the beginning, and all things happen just as He decided long ago.

Ephesians 1:11 (New Living Translation)

In Him, we are also chosen! Accepting the invitation means that you have to attend some parties that you don’t want to go to – trials, tribulations, strife, etc. But you go knowing that Jesus has already won the victory in every one of them.

A final word: Be strong with the Lord’s mighty power. Put on all of god’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil.

Ephesians 6:10-11 (New Living Translation)

You must follow the protocol of the invitation. In your mindset war has to equal victory. The Greek word “histemi” means standing in the covenant. You have to wear this to the party. You put on the armor so that you can stand in covenant . To be committed to Jesus means that you stand in His Kingdom Agenda, not just church agenda. The warnings that you receive are not for condemnation but correction. To be in His image means that you always see the image of Christ in everyone. Your relationship with God is based on how well you treat people.

You must put on your helmet daily! It protects you from the things that are flying above. Your helmet prevents back sliding in your commitments and obligations. The breastplate of righteousness covers your chest and protects your heart. When your heart is right you are in right standing with God. Witchcraft flows fluently through dirty hearts. A dirty hart is one that does not operate in the spirit of God. Dirty hearts create wrong spirits!

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.

Psalm 51:10 (New Living Translation)

Promotion doesn’t mean that God is pleased with you. God gives you stuff so that you can get better at being right. Are you sure you want to go to this party?

There Has Been An Invasion From The Second Heavens

Posted by Dr. Rich on September 25, 2009

A final word: Be strong with the Lord’s mighty power. Out on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 6:10-12 (New Living Translation)

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.

John 10:10 (New Living Translation)

In the Christian life, we battle against rulers and authorities – the powerful evil forces of fallen angels headed by Satan, who is a vicious fighter. The sad truth is that the church is allowing this invasion to happen, and some are even participating in it. To be able to withstand these attacks, we must depend on God’s strength and use every piece of His armor as our protection. Remember, we are not dealing with flesh and blood but spiritual warfare. You must learn how to identify who or what it is that you are dealing with. People’s agendas should not be your focus this season. The principalities from the second heavens is what’s disrupting the agenda. We are dealing with demons and devils daily whether you are aware of it or not. All sin has an influence and a purpose, and nobody on this earth is exempted from falling.

Then God said, “Let us make people in Our images, to be like ourselves. They will be masters over all life – the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the livestock, wild animals, and small animals. So God created people in His own image; God patterned them after Himself; male and female He created them.

Genesis 1: 26-27 (New Living Translation)

Holiness, praise, and worship is what we were created to do after the fall of Lucifer, who was the chief worship leader. What Lucifer once had in holiness, God has placed inside of His creation – you and me. If the enemy can diminish the role of the male then he has succeeded in stopping true praise and worship.

“You won’t die!” the serpent hissed. God knows that your eyes will be opened when you eat it. You will become like God, knowing everything, both good and evil.” The woman was convinced. The fruit looked so fresh and delicious, and it would make her so wise! So she ate some of the fruit. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her. Then he ate it too. At that moment, their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they strung fig leaves together around their hips to cover themselves.

Genesis 3:4-7 (New Living Translation)

The impact of what Adam and Eve saw was an intimate knowledge of both good and evil. Adam and Eve were naked, this was not an issue with God, and it wouldn’t have been an issue with them if they hadn’t sinned. Their newly found knowledge of good and evil caused them to feel guilt and embarrassment over their nakedness. Exposure to the other side was never a part of God’s plan. We were designed to walk in wealth, peace, dominion and authority. There is a Redeemer, His name is Jesus, and He has your victory! You have the power over the invader of the second heavens!

In It to Win It

Posted by Dr. Rich on September 23, 2009

Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad – because these trials will make you partners with Christ in His suffering, and afterward you will have the wonderful joy of sharing His glory when it is displayed to all the world.

I Peter 4:12-13 (New Living Translation)

When you are expecting to win, you don’t need to look down or dreary. God is looking for those who look like they want to win the race. Learn how to become a winner before you cross the finish line! To be a winner you must also talk like a winner. Never discuss the problem, always be ready to bring forth the solution to the problem. Learn how to tap into your dimensional picture power. Word language and countenance are most important. Begin putting things beneath you and stop allowing them to rule you. Remember, the closer you get to God the harder the trials will come.

Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the terrible anger of God comes upon all those who disobey Him. Don’t participate in the things these people do. For though your hearts were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.

Ephesians 5:6-9 (New Living Translation)

Tests and trials started with Jesus, they were necessary for Him to suffer and grow. The Word of God cuts the spirit and the soul. To love Jesus means to be willing to suffer with Him. You can be sure that you are in the Will of God when you are suffering. God takes you through the process to get the answer that He is looking for – it has nothing to do with you. Tests will make you purge your heart until there is nothing else there. So stop fighting the answer you’re wanting against what God is looking for.

For the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He punishes those He accepts as His children. As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as His own children. Whoever heard of a child who was never disciplined. If God doesn’t discipline you as He does all of His children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really His children after all. Since we respect our earthly fathers who discipline us, should we not all the more cheerfully submit to the discipline of our heavenly Father and live forever? For our earthly fathers discipline us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always right and good for us because it means we will share in His holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening – it is painful! But afterward there will be a quiet harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and stand firm on your shaky legs. Mark out a straight path for your feet. Then those who follow you, though they are weak and lame, will not stumble and fall but will become strong.

Hebrews 12:6-13 (New Living Translation)

This is the season the God is disciplining the church! Discipline makes you holier, so go through your discipline. Your tests are producing fruits of righteousness. There’s nothing like being in the right direction with God. When you are in the right direction you will meet your blessings. Things directed for your life are waiting for you when you are in the right direction.

Do not sell out your birthright over your test. Frustration is built on unstable emotions, so never make a decision while being frustrated. When you are in a test God is trying to get rid of you! Tests come to break you – to remake you – and make you brand new. In a test, God is testing to see where your soul really is – your mind, will, and emotions.
